Some people say I am a very intense person at times. I feel very strongly about saving the lives of the unborn and witnessing to the youth. I have been writing songs since I was 12. God began filling my heart with songs since 2000 and I have been writing and sharing these songs of faith, hope and love with others ever since. I am very family oriented and have been blessed with 5 siblings, 2 children, 2 grandchildren, 4 Nephews, 3 Nieces and lots of Aunts & Uncles and Cousins! I have had a good life, even though I have faced a lot of adversity, I wouldn't change a thing. God has allowed me to write about these things and share them with others that may be going through something similar. That is what my music is all about......telling people the good news, that God loves us and wants to be a part of our lives every day.....every minute..... HE has a wonderful life planned for each and every one of us! This is the place that I share thoughts and invite you to share yours as well!

HAPPY SALVATION BIRTHDAY TO ME!



HELLO FRIENDS, FAMILY & FANS!

On this day, January 7, 1973,(36 years ago, WOW!) I asked Jesus to live in my heart forever!!! It was a Sunday at First Baptist Powder Springs in Powder Springs, Ga. "Just As I Am" was playing and Jesus had been in my life for the prior 5 years and I couldn't wait another day to ask Him to live in my heart eternally, so I ran down to the altar." I felt that I could fly high like a dove, as He filled my heart with His wondrous joy & love". It was a week before my 10th birthday (which was the following Sunday) and that following Sunday, I was baptized. I am so grateful that He knocked on my hearts door. I thank Him for the mercy, grace and love he blesses me with! I thank Him for sacrificing His life for all of us, though we didn't deserve it. I thank Him for the joy he gives just from loving him. I thank Him for the purpose He has given me! I thank Him for my family, friends and fans!

At that time of innocence in my life, I had no idea how much I was going to need and depend on Him within just a few years after that wonderful day. I had no idea how about the incredible blind faith He would give me that would be crucial to my spiritual life for the rest of my life. Through all the years of adversity, Jesus has been here holding my hand and seeing me through it all; blessing me. He has turned every negative or bad situation in my life to a positive one and for His glory. Without Jesus, I would have no life worth living.

WHAT IS IN STORE FOR 2009?

Well I haven't posted a blog since Nov 24, 2008. It was an exciting Christmas with my almost 2 year old granddaughter-seeing her face and her "wow" when she saw her presents! I recently had serious surgery on Nov. 6 and am pretty much recovered with the exception of some residual pain.

Still working on getting some finishing touches on the 2009 band with a lot of potential venues coming up. I feel that we need to minister to the youth. I recently accompanied another band to the RYDC of Marietta, Ga. I sang back up on some songs and then sang "Me & Jesus". But the most fulfilling part was praying with a couple of the kids; they seemed so scared and need much love. I hope to return there with my band to minister to them.

I hope to make a music video this spring for the 'HELP ME DECIDE" song; I feel in my heart that is what God wants and I pray and have faith he will make it happen. YOUR PRAYERS WILL BE APPRECIATED!!!!

On January 7, I will be celebrating my 36 year "SALVATION" birthday. I will never forget that day when I asked Jesus to live in my heart forever! of course I will be celebrating my "birth" on January 14 which won't be nearly as much fun!!!

I had a dream this morning shortly before I woke up that I am attended First Baptist Woodstock. My husband asked me where did I want to go to church this morning and I told him about the dream. So, we attended the 11 am service in the Chapel and it was fantastic. This lady Christie sang an awesome song that just made me cry. Later, Brother Johnny mentioned that he would be celebrating his 36 year "salvation birthday" on Jan 7!!! Wow! I had to go back and talk to him after the service to tell him that we both got saved on the exact same day! Cool, huh?

Another potential venue is the "EXTREME TOUR"- focusing on kids at their places of activities. This tour last from April to August and is on the whole east coast.

We will see what God has in store for us and am optimistic and excited!!!
