We all experience times in our lives when we are in a "valley" "low" or a place we've never been and are uncomfortable or downright miserable. We lose our desire, passion and sometimes lose sight of our purpose. The reason we feel that way is usually because prior to that, things were going good and we were at our peak or high or great joy. We obviously wouldn't recognize the "lows" without the "highs", the good without the bad or the joy without the sorrow. It's life.
Sometimes no matter how hard we try, we can't seem to get out and back to where we once were fast enough. Sometimes all we can think about is where we "were" and keep living in yesterday. We blame ourselves or kick ourselves going over and over in our head wondering if we could have done something to change things. But what if we didn't do anything wrong? What if it was just "time" to do something else? This is one of the most difficult dilemmas one experiences and can catch us completely off guard, rendering ourselves to the emotional whirlwind of all kinds of negative feelings, pushing us further down into self abandonment. Having so much power in our hands can work to either a positive or a negative way in our lives. We are the only ones who can decide which way it is going to go.
SO what are we missing? Did we forgot how we got here in the first place? That is, we had a dream, a vision and we put everything we had into it and we DID SUCCEED and we CAN SUCCEED AGAIN! Once we realize that, we can begin to focus on the things we have learned and start making plans for the next adventure. We may never experience the same as before. it could be better or maybe just different.
First, understanding "Who am I ? What do I want to do? What do I have to offer the world? What is my gift? If in your heart you want to help others, you first have to help yourself get into a position to help others. Once you figure that out, get focused and stay with it.
I, myself, have been in a low, low valley for a couple years now. I understand that nothing is accomplished without commitment. Changing perspective is the key and I am unlocking the door now.........
